hello everyone back home....
so whats new with me, i am sure you would all like to know, well to be honest not to much, if you havent noticed the ctm doesnt change around here its the same thing every day. but i am that much closer to getting out into the field! we get to go proylting this friday and next fri so i am pretty stoked about that. the first time we went was way cool, i didnt understand much but i bore my testimony alot and we gave out a book of mormon to a young boy maybe 18 or so but ya i am way excited to get to go out again. well i hear that kari is going to set up a blog....whats going on sis your slackin, jk. well i thought i would inform you all that i have had yet another fluxution with my weight. but this time is was the other way, i lost 2 pounds, ya i know i am amazing. anyway i am glad the pics got to you, i tried to show you the rain here, that day was ridiculous, it just kept raining and raining and so ya i had to take a pic. the chin thing came from elder shipley, go figure. he is from oak city utah and used to milk cows....he definitily has a small town personality, but i love him! he is pretty funny and his name is ben, ya were both pretty cool, anywho me and elder buck have some pretty big plans today...after we get finished writing our wonderfull families we are going to go get a burger from this burger place i told yo uabout, ya they are the best burgers ever. or maybe its just cuz i havent had a burger in so long that i am just telling my self that, either way they are good. well elder bucks mom sent him some cookies from mr cheneys and then i ahve mine so we are going to be chowin down on those for a little while. they are amazing cookies too, maybe i will ship one home just for you guys...jk but there good. anyway hope everything is going well, erin stay away from those boys or else.....jill where is my wedding invition. still waitin on that! megan you have definitly been steping up to the whole letter thing, nice! jake....jake jake jake....mom stop workin so hard, take it easy everyonce and a while. kari...well just keep mom from workin so hard. nickolas...i like it with a k, i´d kick your butt in battle field.. harlod...i´m betting its starting to slow down for you, thats gotta be nice. well i love ya guys. you guys are awsome. oh and mom i did get the first package, not sure if i told you that, i think i did, but the other 2 have not come, but i am not to worried just dont you worry about it. they still foreward packages to the mission, if its in a envelope they forward the whole thing, if its in a box they open it up and fit as much of the contents in a envelope and foreward that to the mission so no worries. well i´m am having a blast down here, i am like 3 weeks away from leaving here its crzy! i have next sunday which is fast sunday for us and then general confrence and then one more sunday and i am out of here. one of the elders was saying that you are only away from home from 24 fast sundays, that makes it seem that much shorter. well everything here is going well, learning as much as i can, and trying not to go crzy, staying in the same building 6 days a week. well its time for me to get off, i love you guys so much and i am so gratfull to have such a wonderfull family. i know this chruch is true, this really is the saviors gospel and thomas s monson really is a living prophet. i love my savior and i love this gospel, and i get so excited to think that i get to go help people create eternal families. i love you all so much. keep building each other up! i love you and i will tlak to you all next week. so nick and kari the gift you got mom was probably the coolest thing ever, i wish i could have seen the look on her face, if you have pics i want to see them. anyway things here are going awesome. still trying to learn the language and gaining a deeper meaning of the gospel. things are working out well i love it down here, i can feel the sprit everyday and its awesome! well what to say, oh ya we changed rooms last night i am not sure why but we had to pack up and move it was weird it felt like we just got here and we are starting all over again. well it has been a month so just one more month to go before i am out of here and i get to start workin!! i am so excited to get into the field and finding the lords elect so that i can bring them this happiness that i feel everyday! its awesome! well i almost have to recorded filled up and you guys will be pretty excited to hear it cuz it is awesome! we have been having some fun with it. oh this just came to me so jill you remember that game you played at the church that one time when me you and your friends went and did that 80´s murder thing and you have to find out who did it. ya me and my district want to play that through the week, so you should email how you set it up and what not. cuz i think that would be way fun. well anyway, i am going to have the shake this week and i am way excited about that! and some cookies, but dont worry i am eating healthy and i have to go up and down 6 flights of stairs everyday, like 6 times so i definitely get some excise and i have gym mon wed and fri, so don’t worry i am not getting fat, and yes my pants still fit. i looked at dereks blog that was awesome i am glad to see that he is doing well and it was good to see some pics. you guys should definitely set up a blog like that for me cuz thats a way good idea, i am going to try and send some pics off today so i dont konw if it will work but we will see. Anyway other then the big move, nothing really new is going on. other then i am having a great time and i am so glad that i made the decision to go on a mission, i just hope that i will be in tune when the lords needs me the most. i am excited to get out into the field and start the work. the portuegse is coming along. not sure if it is coming slow or not but ya it is coming none the less. from what i hear from everyone, everyone is doin great and nothing to big has happened. oh by the way megan, elder mccmulliun is going to write you so you better write him back. cuz he has a sister your age and i am going to write her, so we are writing each others sisters. so ya he is an office fan, that is pretty much why we get along so well cuz we both just quote the office all day long anyway if you are not familiar with the office either start watching it or have kari and nick help you out, anyway write him or else......oh and ps SEND ME A LETTER FIRST, i wrote you and you are slacking so get to it. anyway i love you guys so much you guys are awesome. your the best family ever. your letters really are so helpful. i love getting them and hearing what is going on. so ya use the mission ties thing cuz once i leave the ctm you have to start using the old school mail. i have probably written more letters in the last month then my whole life, ya its awesome. anyway i am not sure what else to say. i am really just excited to go get a shake so i am going to go do that with elder buck. oh dad i forgot you asked where he was from. he is from layton utah and we get along, thats all you need to know, :) well i love you guys so much, i can feel your love all the way down here! hope everyone has a wonderful week and i look foreword to hearing from you guys next week, so until then.

which bear is best? FALSE! BEARS, BEETS, BATTLESTAR GALLATICA! jim indentiy theft is a major problem in the US. micheal!!! for those of you that dont understand that please ask you neighbor or someone of younger status, they will be more then happy to explain it to you. me and my companherio have been laughing about that and many others for the past few days. so you remember the story in the other side of heaven where the rats eat his feet. ya so bugs are eating my feet. i didnt sleep with socks the first night and ya so i had to go see the docter. well now to tell you how things are going. guess what family.....i saw JOHN today. he made it to the temple and we got to talk for like 20 minutes. i was awesome. it was really good to see someone i know. i know christine is going to freak and i did hug him for her so mom you can let her know that. john also took a picture, i didnt cuz here at the ctm you cant take your camera to the temple but john had his so he took a picture so if you guys want to get it i am sure you can get it from christine, john was going to send it in his next email. anyway we went to the temple today as you can aldreay tell and it was awesome. everytime we have gone there it has strengthed me so much. i am so glad that there are temples all over the world and that i have the chance to attened one way down here in brazil. well i will have to say i feel so LOVED all the way down here. i got your packeage and freaked out. today me and my companion already had the day planned out. we are going to do our emailing and then right after this go get hamburgers, cuz i guess there is this realy good hamburger place in our area and then we are going to mr. cheneys so get some shakes.....i love you mom!!! and then have a party with the 6 cookies ha ha ha. well mom was asking what kind of excirse i get here and if i can work off the calerios that i am going to partake of today. and yes we have gym 3 days a week where we can play basketball volleyball or run the track, they have a small weight room but it is like a million years old and more of a hazard to be in there so i just stay clear. but i do eat healthy dispite what you may think. i eat fruits and vegatables for every meal and i drink water and i do sit ups and push ups everynight, so the pounds that i am putting on is all muscle!!! just fyi ha ha ha oh i didnt tell you yet but i joined the choir here....i am not very good but i just get up and try to belt out the portuguese hymn. we sing every sunday and tues. for devtional. i will have to say that your letters are like christmas morning every lunch. thats when we open the box. i love gettting them, it really is better then christmas morning, you tihnk i am joking but i am being serious. oh and you need to send me dereks email i would like to write him, i guess i am serving with one of his friends. he is not in my district but he is on my floor and we have talked a few times. his name is stew higman, ( i say that cuz i know your forwarding to dereks family so maybe they would be interested, by the way i love ya logan davis´s) anyway everything is well, i cant think of to much stuff going on. i just am really hungry for that burger!! oh ya the reason i was asking for some americn candy is because the candy down here is alright but it just doesnt cut it, i mean lets be honest i had a coke last p day and was wishing it would turn into a dr pepper. well there is not much else to say except mother.... when you ship me packages...make sure you are using my account. do not be using your money to send them i forbid it. you are already doing enough. so mke sure your using my account. oh and i wrote in your letter but make sure you call bank card so they dont shut down my card if i use it. well not sure what else to say i have pretty much covered everything, so just let me konw what is up with you guys!! i love you guys so much and even though i miss you all so much i know this is where i am supposed to be and this is the lords work. i feel blessed to be here and have to oppurtunity to serve the people here.
oh and mother i am very excited to hear that your car will be fixed and that all is ok, the lord truly does answer prayers! i love you guys so much tchau! elder davis ps the story about my feet is true but not that true i just wanted to freak you out! ha ha i really did have bugs bite my feet all night but it was just a bunch of bug bites and i had to put this cream on my feet and sleep with socks, but all is well my feet are amazing. love ya :)

hey guys! well heres how it goes i have 45 min to be on the computer so thats reading and writing so your more then welcome to send me stuff, one from everyone if you want but just dont make them to long if you do that so i can read everyones but i will just reply on one cuz it will take to much time to reply to everyones. well its been 2 weeks! wow it is going by fast and slow its weird but ya i am having a great time. i will have to talk with elder buck and see if he wants to do that. cuz i had him talk on it just to say hi and whatever but he wont talk for very long, he kinda hates it but i make him say stuff every now and again ha ha but i guess if his family would hear it he might just talk alittle more i will have to talk to him. anyway other then that everything is awesome. we got to go to the campinas temple today. it is a very gorgueos temple. oh and the big cash money thing down here is letters!!! so even though it takes 2 weeks to hear from me again through letters you can send as many as you want!! you feel really loved when you get one so hint hint if you love me ha ha anyway you guys should send me a few things, get one of those flat rate packages and fill it with lots and lots and lots of candy and pack of oreos...the normal size pack not a small one and some mints cuz you cant chew gum and if you see that camera cord of mine-mother- i will need you to send that to me, i cant find it in my lugage and i htought i packed it but maybe i didnt, anyway definiltly send at least one package and send tons of letters. i got jills on the 21st so right now she is my favorite cuz she loves me the most..ha ha jk anyway hope everything is well mom you should let me konw about my car and whats going on with that. i hope your car isnt to messed up. and i will try and email everybody something more personal but if you send letters i can reply just to you and not just to everyone =ike this email. anywal not sure what else to put, one of the elders here shaved his head and messed up and now he has like a big bald spot it was pretty funny. my district is pretty cool everyone is from utah expect one cali so pretty sure i will see them sometime after the mission. well i might right you again today if i have some time but i have to go write dad so i might be back on to write you wonderful people.

ok so i found a few extra minutes, so there is this cookie shop right across the street called mr cheneys cookies, ithink you got a email from them talking about familes ties, its this email thing that you can do, i think you should do it, everyone just put in a dollar. its 10 bucks a month and you can right emails to mr cheneys cookies and they print it out and bring it across the street to the ctm....so its like same day delevirly like the dear elder.com stuff but you just have to pay for this one. so i am not sure if you got an email explaining it if you didnt i will have them send it next week but if you did.....mother you should sign up for it, it is same day delievery and i get 6 free cookies!!! they are so good, they are like 2 reais so thats like 1 dollar american so not very expensive but they are way good, so let me know mom if you didnt get that family ties thing from mr cheneys cookies. cuz i can have them send it again. but you should really do it. so i think i have put in 5 pounds or so cuz i feel fatter ha ha i cant find a scale though so i have no idea but when i find one thats the first thing i am going to do is wiegh my self. so i hear that the people going to brazilia are going to be flying there not taking a bus which would be awesome! so i will definitly let you know. oh so with that tape recorder thing, when i fill it up you should send me back 2 so that when i fill up the next one i can send it to you but still have one here to keep recording while i am waiting to get the one i sent back, good idea? ya i thought so... well i had my whole district talking on that thing last night and some of them wanted to share a few things and some were lame....elder buck was one of the lame ones! well i cant think of anything to important to say....so i guess i will just talk to you guys next week!!!!i love you guys alot, write lots of letters, and your respose will be more personal i swear, well everyone stay out of trouble! mainly you jake ha ha love ya dude

Hey so i have to be kinda fast cuz i only have 30 min before i have to getback to the mtc. i sent a letter its on its way today. well i made it ok. mycompanion is elder buck he is a pretty funny guy we get along pretty wellwhich is nice. the food is pretty good but i think thats cuz its not reallybrazilian. it seems really americanized...if thats a word. well i can emailevery wed. for 45 min but i dont have that much time today cuz all theplaces where you could go the comps were down so we waited all day andfinaly they started working so i have like 30 min to get in and writesomething. so far its been alot to handle. they throw alot at you but itsnot to bad. we spend like 8 hours a day in class and i am pretty sure i havegained wait already, cuz i feel heavier ha ha you eat in the morning youhave class then you eat again then you have class again then you eat andthen you study so you pretty much just eat and sit so you really dont workanything off. and i have been eating alot ha ha so ya i think i have alreadygained like 5 pounds so today i started limiting my meals so they are not sobig! everyone in my district was from utah except one nevada and one cali,but it was all the elders that flew with me from slc, there was like 15 fromslc to sao pualo. so that was good cuz we got to know each other before wegot here. but last night was really cool, we had a devotional and after wetalked about it with the district and the spirit was really strong we allpretty much ended up crying and we went like an hour over with the districtmeeting cuz everyone had so much to share it was awesome, it helped me tohave a stronger testimony of why i am here and what this is all about. wellyou definitly need to forward this cuz i dont have time to write toeveryone. but to all you shin-na-nu-gins out there, hope your all doing wellits only been a week so i am pretty sure not much as changed but you canstill tell me whats up. next weeks letter will be a little better cuz i wontbe so stressed for time, cuz i still have to walk back to the ctm. butbrazil is pretty sweet. we got our first p day today and got to go walkaround outside the ctm. its crazy its pretty dirty but the people are waynice even though you cant speak much and you look retarted. but my comp andi just walked around and kinda looked at whats out here. we saw some womenbreast feeding and walking and dong like everything it was way weird.....ami allowed to say that to you guys, i guess so if not the lord willl let meknow. anyway i cant think of to much else proably cuz i am worried aboutbeing late and i dont want to get chastized..... but its been fun so far thefirst week went by kinda slow but i here after your first pday it just fliesby. jake you better be preparing its awesome being down here, and get calledto brazil.... i hope work and what not is going well for everyone. its wayhot down here i am always sweating its awesome!!!! well you will see in myletter but i proably wont be able to put any pics up till i get out into thefield. oh ya you guys are awesome!! i love you guys so much!! oh today wewent to the campins temple, it was amazing! it was so beutiful and justbeing there was really peacefull. when i find a scale i will weigh myselfand let you know the verdict. but i should get going i love you guys so muchyour the best family ever. i knew that before i left but know that i am outhere about to create other families for eternity, my testimony on familesand my love for you guys has grown 10 fold. i love you guys so much, jakeerin dont give mom a too hard of time. be safe and i will talk to you guysnext week!! i love you so much!!!TchauElder Davis
